specifications. These rugged induction motors are designed and tested
according to the prevalent stringent British and global standards.
They are constructed using rugged cast iron, giving them the strength
to take up heavy workload and wear and tear.
It
is also a testimony to the quality of Shamruthi Induction motors,
that we are offering a 12 month warranty even against any manufacturing
defect, which is another first from Prane Engineerings. Easy to maintain
and use, Shamruthi Induction motors is ideally suitable for all kinds
of industrial applications, across the world.
Electric
Supply Rating:
Our
induction motors as manufactured according to the prevalent electric
supply ratings in different countries, enabling them to work under
different voltage fluctuations and giving them longer life. Three
phase motors are suitable for 415 V = 10% 3 phase,5 HZ = 5 % supply.
For combination of voltage and frequency maximum variation of 10%
is allowed.
Single
phase Shamruthi Induction motors are suitable for 220 V = 10%,50 HZ
= 5% supply.For combination of voltage and frequency, maximum variation
of 10% is allowed.
Frame
and End Shields:
The
alignment and grade of iron used for manufacturing frames has a great
impact on the frame's ability to withstand vibration. To ensure this
our stator frames are manufactured from high-grade cast iron, this
being the case with our end shields also. This process also makes
them highly resistant to corrosion and gives them exceptional strength,
ensuring their working with the minimum possible vibration.
Hardware:
Corrosion
of the hardware is a major reason for the quicker wear and tear of
Induction motors. We have foreseen this problem and it is seen to
it that all hardware is electro-zinc plated for superior corrosion
resistance. This superior corrosion resistance makes them suitable
for weathering different climatic and geographical conditions.
Finish:
Adequate care is
taken to clean and spray all exposed surfaces with a corrosion inhabiting
coating. Stringent Quality measures adopted by Prane Engineerings ensures
that all the components are mechanically as well as chemically cleaned.
This is followed by the application of a phenolic rust proof primer,
which gives excellent protection against corrosive agents. The final
assembled Shamruthi Induction motor is then painted with super enamel
paint, giving it a rich finish at par with international standards.
Terminal
Box:
Terminal
boxes are designed in a unique way. This has been done after extension
research into the requirements of the industry. Our Terminal boxes
are rotatable by 4 X 90 increments, thereby permitting cable entry
from any direction. The terminal box is well sealed and placed at
the right hand side of the frame. Earth terminal is provided to all
Shamruthi Induction motors, protecting them against vulnerabilities
of electric fluctuations.
Manufacturing
Range: 0.18 KW to 2 KW, speed standard rpm.
Testing:
Our
testing procedures are comparable to the prevalent international standards.
The process of testing starts right at the manufacturing stage. Each
and every components is put through a series of stringent tests. This
process culminates at the dispatch stage, where again a series of
tests, ensures that a high level of Quality id maintained. This firm
commitment to Quality Standards at all cost, has been the prime reason
for our Shamruthi Induction
motors gaining a niche for themselves, over such a short period
of time.
Insulation
Insulation
plays an important role in the longevity of a motor. Shamruthi Induction
motors manufactured at Prane Engineerings are insulated again on the
lines of international standards. We are probably the first in the
industry to offer customized solutions according to the buyers requirement,
as far as insulation is concerned.
All
Shamruthi Induction motors are of class 'B' and 'F' insulation according
to the customer's requirement. This coupled with temperature regulation
to class 'B' limits, ensures, ruggedness, reliability and longer life.
Duty Rating
All
motors are continuously maximum rated at type 50 HZ.
Ambient
Temperature
Standard Shamruthi
Induction motors are designed for operation at an ambient temperature
keeping in mind the geographical difference in temperature. The motors
have been designed to work in relatively cooler climes to sub-tropical
climatic conditions. Generally speaking the Shamruthi Induction motors
have been designed to work at an ambient temperature ranging between
20 C to 45 C.
Altitude
Stringent
adherence to quality standards ensures that our standard motors are
designed for operation up to an altitude not exceeding approximately
1000 meters above sea level. For higher altitudes derating of output
KW is required. As the standard motors are already designed to work
under varying temperatures and their ability to work at variable altitudes
makes then suitable for industries across the globe.
Mounting
Mounting
of Shamruthi Induction motors plays a vital part in the design of
motors and their ability to continuously work under stressful conditions
and also their ability to withstand vibrations. Keeping this in mind
our Shamruthi Induction motors are available in foot mounted and frame
mounted designs.
They
are designed in such a manner so as to minimize the vibrations, which
in turn gives them a longer life even under tough conditions.
Bearings:
Extreme
care has been taken to select the correct specification of ball bearings
for trouble free functioning of our standard motors. Standard motors
are fitted with high quality, double side sealed, C3 clearance ball
bearings.
The
customers also need not worry about the lubrication of the bearings
as they come with pre-packed lubricants. This lubrication of moving
parts in our standard motors make them ideally suitable for running
for long hours at a stretch, ensuring the same high standard of production,
at the same time.
Cooling
System
Special
attention has been taken to provide Shamruthi Induction motors with
adequate airflow. Cooling fans are cast integrally with stalor frame
and end shields. External fans come with the stator frames. Specially
designed with deep fin construction, this fan ensures higher airflow
and provides adequate cooling to the motor.
This
specially designed cooling system ensures trouble free running of
the Shamruthi Induction motors, thereby prolonging the life of the
motor.
Fan
and Fan Cowl
Our
eye for details has been to it that Poly-propylene or sheet metal
fans are fitted to the motor for effective cooling. Not only this,
the Fan cowls are heavy gauge pressed making them reliable under all
conditions. Steel construction securely bolts the motor and shield
making them extra rugged and fit for all types of industrial applications.
